The SteveBuilt

The Story
of SteveBuilt

Based in the Niagara Region, SteveBuilt provides home building and contracting services to the St. Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, Beamsville and Fonthill areas.

SteveBuilt was founded on the idea that quality is paramount.

Growing up Steve built sheds, decks, and fences with his father; by his teens, he was working in a lumber yard and apprenticing as a Carpenter.

Finishing his apprenticeship he began specializing in house additions, construction, and renovations – he turned the visions of countless homeowners into reality with fine detail.

SteveBuilt is made on the ideals of being meticulous, neat, and organized – so that no matter the project size, we give our clients the treatment they deserve, along with an exceptional experience.

A Bit About Steve

I have always been the one to notice the gap in the flooring, the mistakes and all the little things. By nature I am a meticulous man. This quality has both been the bane of my existence and my biggest asset.

In a field that has continually moved toward quantity rather quality I have struggled to maintain the same pride in my work. This is when I knew I needed to begin what is now known as SteveBuilt Inc.

I began my business on the mindset that no matter how big or small the job each one would be done with the same quality and detail I would expect on my own home.

In a time when products are disposable and workers are “jack of all trades” SteveBuilt is what’s missing in today’s industry. The certified builder and general contractor you need, you can come to trust and get the quality you deserve.

The Team

Rob Dyck

Rob has been with us for 3 years now as a licensed Lead Hand Carpenter. He’s very meticulous and takes pride in the fine details.

Rob has 10 years of carpentry experience and handles every situation with care, consideration and a lot of patience.

Rob excels in all areas of carpentry but loves the finish end of his trade the most. We are very lucky and grateful to have Rob apart of our team. Everything Rob does is for his family, and he’s a great teacher and friend.

Josh Mason

Josh recently began working as an Apprentice Carpenter for SteveBuilt after moving home to the Niagara Region. He has 3 years of experience as a rough carpenter and 2 years of renovation experience.

Josh enjoys the process of renovations, the diverse skillset involved in the work and seeing a new space begin to come together.

When Josh isn’t working, he enjoys playing board games with friends and walks with his family.

Amber Holowachuk

Amber came to us in 2021. With education in bookkeeping along with her love of organization and customer satisfaction, she is an excellent addition to the SteveBuilt family.

As the Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper, she communicates and coordinates logistics with our clients and business partners. Amber also plays a significant role behind the scenes maintaining the business’ financial records.

If you’re calling or coming in, chances are she’s the first face you’ll see!

Joel Beck

Joel started working for SteveBuilt in 2021 as a Lead Hand Carpenter and Site Supervisor. He has 10+ years of experience working in construction.

Joel brings his exceptional work ethic, drive and experience to the team.

He’s a proud father of two young children and spends lots of time outdoors enjoying camping and sports.

Dave McManus

As the newest Apprentice Carpenter at SteveBuilt,  Dave brings with him 7+ years of construction and management experience to our team.

With a background in hospitality, as well as a degree in Business Administration, Dave adds value to every project he works on with his positive attitude and penchant for productivity.

A musician since the age of 12, Dave enjoys playing drums and writing rock songs. Nowadays, together with his partner Jordanna and her two wonderful daughters, Dave calls St. Catharines his home and is on track to earn his Red Seal in Carpentry in the very near future.

Taylor Wakulich

Taylor is both a recent addition to the SteveBuilt team and a recent graduate of the Niagara College Carpentry and Renovation program.

The satisfaction of building and knowing how to get the job done well is what initially drew Taylor to learn carpentry as a craft. Though young in his career, he’s already been doing renovations for a year.

When Taylor isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and taking on various woodworking projects.
